37 years old

Back in St. Louis, I offered MKW the first chance at hiring me before looking around at other agencies. I knew their clients and had done great work for them, so I was hired back as if I had never left.

Money troubles were gathering as I used my new credit cards to try to keep up with Marnie's lavish lifestyle of fine restaurants, stylish clothing, and all the expensive tech gear I needed to keep the software companies profitable.

Marnie and I decided to buy a house together. The first house we looked at, in University City, we ended up buying. It was an extremely cool 1950s ranch house on a large lot in a cul-de-sac.

Now that I had a house, my friend Kim Sindel urged me to finalize my sketchy European divorce from Betty. After a lot of frustrating problems with Betty, who neglected to sign the papers we sent her for whatever reason, I finally got my divorce in the US Courts, after 10 years of marriage - mostly separated.
